Tutor of Computer Science for Middle and High School Programme (Grades 9-12 )

Schloss Krumbach International School (SKIS) a co-educational boarding school for students of 12-19 years old is located in an ancient Austrian castle a 50-minute- drive from Vienna.

We are looking for an addition to our dynamic pedagogical team - for tutoring support to our Middle School and High School students in the subject of Computer Science to start as soon as possible!

Teaching support in person and in English -required.

Hourly rate is highly competitive and we are open to negotiations.

Tasks

• Understanding educational content curriculum requirements and creating lesson plans
• Analysing the needs strengths and weaknesses of students and structuring lessons and assessments around them.
• Adjusting teaching methods to suit different groups of learners.
• Reporting any progress issues to the School Principal as well as the parents.
• Supervising lab sessions delivering practical demonstrations

Requirements

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skills

• Familiarity ( practical experience is desirable) with the national school curriculum of Austria and international curriculum ( IB IGCSE A Levels)
• Ability to teach and demonstrate activities;
• Positive attitude and commitment to students well-being
• Competency in operating school-based information management systems
• Passion for teaching and love for students

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification

• Degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Relevant teaching certification would be an asset.
• Tutoring experience would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with different types of teaching styles.
• Patience innovation and knowledge of classroom management and student discipline.
• Strong multitasking abilities.
• Fluent/ Level C1/C2 in English with experience in delivering the subject in English.
• Valid residency and work permit for Austria or EU citizen
