A well-established and growing national retail brand focused on delivering exceptional service and fostering a team-driven culture is looking to employ a Payroll Accountant.

What you will be doing:

Full payroll processing for 700 employees including clocking data leave reconciliation and overtime checks
Maintain records for deductions staff loans garnishees and advances
New hire and termination payroll processing
Prepare and reconcile payroll-related GL accounts
Manage payroll queries and assist with statutory submissions
Prepare daily sales dashboards and weekly sales trackers
Compile staff turnover reports and performance scorecards
Process and reconcile company credit card transactions
Process and reconcile payroll bank account entries
Handle company insurance claims and general finance admin
Support cross-training and ad-hoc finance projects
Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements

What we are looking for:

Accounting degree or bookkeeping diploma advantageous
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role retail experience is advantageous
Proven payroll processing experience
Strong Excel skills essential
Highly organized detail-oriented and accurate under pressure
Proactive and responsible individual with strong numerical skills
