Description
A leading manufacturing and engineering company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in steel mining or manufacturing environments to join their team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of post-graduation engineering experience advanced skills in SolidWorks or CAD and proven expertise in tender processes quotations and project execution.
Responsibilities:
Assist senior engineers with the design development and testing of mechanical systems and components.
Perform technical calculations and analyses to ensure safe and efficient designs.
Attend project meetings and contribute to planning and execution phases.
Conduct studies simulations and other technical support tasks.
Stay informed on industry trends new technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering.
Follow all health safety and company protocols.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
Participate in problem-solving sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
BEng Mechanical Engineering / BSc Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience in manufacturing mining or steel industries.
Strong experience with SolidWorks or CAD and FEAs.
Solid understanding of mechanical design principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Advanced experience in tender processes projects and quotations.
Proven experience in steel and manufacturing environments.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
Strong planning organizational communication and teamwork skills.
