Job Description
J & J Companies is seeking a motivated field service technician to join our service team in the Lancaster PA area. The service technician will be providing equipment and facilities maintenance services to clients typically within a 100-mile radius. This is a full-time position with a strong focus on professional development hands-on technical work and career growth. Key Qualifications
Candidates with a background in any of the following areas are highly encouraged to apply:
- Installation maintenance and repair of overhead dock and door equipment
- Mechanical electrical and hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair
- Welding and fabrication experience
- General facility maintenance and construction support including pallet racking repair & fixture maintenance
- General electrical systems knowledge and the ability to safely diagnose and repair basic circuits
- Construction and structural repair work such as concrete & masonry painting debris removal carpentry drywall or demolition
- A strong work ethic and personal pride in quality workmanship and accountability
- Customer-focused mindset with a professional demeanor and strong communication skills
- Service technicians will be driving a company vehicle a valid Drivers License is required
- DOT Medical Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire; company assistance available)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. bend repeatedly and be on your feet during the entirety of the work shift
- Must be willing to cross-train and perform all other relevant duties as assigned by the Manager
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Trade or technical school a plus
- Military training a plus
A pre-hire background check drug screen and DOT physical required.
