About the Role:
Our Consumer Products client is looking for an Inventory Accounting Manager to join their team. This Company is fast-growing with multiple thriving brands. This position will manage general accounting and inventory accounting. Their ideal candidate must have inventory accounting experience and come from a Consumer Goods or similar industry.

Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the monthly quarterly and year-end close process which includes review or preparation of journal entries review of balance sheet reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet and income statement.
- Analyzing and collecting data to determine costs of inventory such as direct costs and overhead.
- Perform inventory accounting activities including inventory variance reviews and analysis and reporting of inventory.
- Automating reporting and analysis using advanced Excel and Access tools such as pivot tables and queries.
- Oversee inventory valuation using FIFO LIFO or weighted cost methods.
- Preparing spending and variance analysis.
- Responsible for internal controls financial control documentation and testing and supporting audits.
- Ensuring that items are correctly classified and statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Drive process improvements in the accounting and reporting of inventory and in-licensing collaborations.
- Assisting in the analytical and/or strategic function including the development of budgeting planning and forecasting.
- Ability to manage and allocate resources set priorities and coordinate with various departments and third-party vendors.
- Providing management with key performance indicators for decision-making purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a similar degree
- Experience in the Consumer Products industry is required.
- Inventory Accounting experience is required.
- CPA License is preferred
