About You
As a Treatment Assistantyoullplayan important rolein pets lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey.Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care offacilitatingoutpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests to surgeryassistance to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Experience in a veterinary setting highly preferred
- Animal husbandry experience required
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care advocate for pets and educate clients.
- With each hospital functionassistveterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity andmaintainpositive patient flow.
- Monitor patient behaviors such as eating and drinking as well as identifying potential problems to a supervisor or veterinarian
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options medications andadditionaltreatments.
- Assistinmaintainingrelevant comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients andmaintainmedical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques follow standard protocols and sustain clean sterile organized treatment areas exam rooms and labs.
- Care for medically boarded pets including daily treatments such as administering oral medications and walks outside
- Be willing to guide mentor and support fellow team members.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience withahourly pay rate starting at$15.50 -$18/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills qualifications experience and location.
