Senior AI Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to spearhead modernization efforts for a legacy application and actively contribute to the agentic solutions delivery journey. This role is pivotal in transforming technology platforms and integrating intelligent automation and GenAI capabilities into production-grade systems.

In this role you will:

• Lead or participate in complex initiatives on selected domains
• Provide technical support advice and consultation with the issues relating to supported applications
• Design code test debug and document programs using Agile development practices
• Understand and participate to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• Conduct research and resolve problems in relation to processes and recommend solutions and process improvements
• Lead the design and development of scalable AI/ML systems using Generative AI techniques including LLMs embeddings vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Architect and implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines from data ingestion and preprocessing to model training deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications including Microsoft Power Platform Dynamics 365 and Copilot Studio.
• Optimize performance of distributed systems and applications built with Python Java and Scala across cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure).
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
• Drive innovation in AI/ML by staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in MLOps NLP and deep learning.

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
• 2 years of Generative AI Expertise: Hands-on experience with LLMs vector search embedding models and RAG pipelines.
• 2 years of AI/ML Proficiency: Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn TensorFlow Keras Spark ML; NLP tools like spaCy and NLTK.
• 2 years of MLOps Skills: Experience with AWS SageMaker Ray and CI/CD for ML workflows.
• 2 years of Big Data & Distributed Systems: Proficient in Spark Kafka Hadoop HBase Cassandra; experience in building and tuning scalable distributed systems.
• 2 years of Programming Languages: Advanced skills in Python Java Scala R and Shell scripting.
• 2 years of Datastores: Familiarity with vector stores (Milvus MongoDB Atlas) NoSQL (MongoDB Redis Cassandra HBase) and SQL databases (Postgres MySQL).
• 2 years of Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS Google Cloud and Azure.
• 2 years of DevOps & Infrastructure: Proficient in Docker Kubernetes Terraform Ansible Linux and Git.
• 2 years of Microsoft Ecosystem: Experience with Copilot Studio Power Platform and Dynamics 365 is a strong plus.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficient in Git and version control workflows.

• Experience with file-based processing systems and solutions.

• Skilled in working within Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of working both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced settings.

• Familiarity with testing frameworks like HyperExecute.

• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering design and development initiatives with minimal supervision.

• Experience with automation frameworks including Karate and Postman.

• Proficient in Unix/Linux command-line operations and shell scripting

Job Expectations:

• Must have flexibility to work across multiple time zones as needed.

• This role requires on-site presence at one of the designated office locations.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements skills experience or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
