This candidate will develop review and manage technical documentation in support of Department of Navy programs. This position will be located in the Washington D.C. area; however if the candidates unique skills and experience would result in considerable value added to the customer the position can be performed at remote locations and/or telework. Salary starting at $70k Responsibilities: - Develop write edit and format a variety of documents including memorandums instructions policy documentation and correspondence/documentation.
- Ensure all documentation complies with DoD/DoN policies including the DoD 5000 acquisition framework.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) engineers program managers and stakeholders to gather source material and technical data.
- Edit documents for clarity consistency grammar style and adherence to required templates and standards.
- Support the development of program documentation required for milestone reviews and audits.
- Maintain version control of technical documents and ensure proper document configuration management.
- Assist with preparing materials for briefings proposals and official submissions.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration Operations Management or a related.
- 10 years of professional experience in developing maintaining and updating documentation.
- Familiarity with Navy technical documentation standards and terminology.
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to develop maintain and update large documents and manuals.
- Active Secret clearance required.
