Job Title:Research Service Professional (iPSC Editing Specialist)

Job Summary:

We are urgently seeking a dynamic Research Scientist to lead a high-priority project focused on precision editing of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). This role is central to advancing our capabilities in disease modeling and therapeutic discovery in the field of Down Syndrome. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in genome editing (e.g. CRISPR) stem cell biology and functional genomics and will drive innovation in editing strategies and platform development.

Key Responsibilities / Duties: (There should be 10 duties and duties should be grouped under a section header collectively; the section headers add up to 100%)

iPSC editing and analysis

  • iPSC culture

  • CRISPR-mediated gene editing in iPSC lines

  • Perform RNA DNA and protein extraction and quality control as well as other various molecular biology-related assays (qPCR dPCR western blot amplicon sequencing NGS library preparation etc.)

Inventory storage and management of biospecimens; associated record keeping

  • Manage edited iPSC inventory in collaboration with the Human Trisome Project biobank Crnic Institute clinical trials and associated investigations

  • Edited iPSC record keeping

Collaborate with researchers from other programs within the Crnic Institute (clinical experimental models data teams) to accomplish project goals and share research results

  • Assist senior staff in the design execution and evaluation of research investigations including literature reviews performing experiments and pilots data integration and analysis

Foundational lab maintenance responsibilities

  • Assist with various laboratory and clinical support operations such as autoclaving inventories ordering supplies and hazardous materials management.

  • Prepare lab for daily operations including stocking materials equipment safety cleanliness and related areas

Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora CO.
