JOB DESCRIPTION: CARPENTER

Job Location: Tampa FL.

Hutco Branch: Tampa FL.

Rate of Pay: $17 to $25 per hour and $120 Daily Per Diem for those who qualify

General Description:

Unless otherwise defined by applicable law any employment relationship with this organization is of an at-will nature which means that the Employee may resign at any time and the Employer may discharge Employee at any time with or without cause.

Fabricates assembles and installs wooden furnishings in ships or boats using various machines and hand / power tools such as table saw planer joiner saver saw skill saw drill motors staple gun stud driver caulking gun chisels hammer and handsaw.

Loads and unloads lumber / plywood for transport and storage. Constructs scaffolding walls overhead paneling and builds bunks locker galley counters vanity heads doors trimming consoles for electronic equipment sashes molding etc.

Essential Functions:

The individual assigned to this position must with or without reasonable accommodation be able to perform the following Essential Functions:

Comprehend all material safety data sheets.

Manipulate and transport loads up to 50 pounds over distances of

up to 200 feet approximately 1 to 6 times during each 8 hour shift.

Manipulate and operate all machines and power / hand tools essential

to the performance of the position of Shipwright.

Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.

Traverse and negotiate uneven heights between dock and vessel.

Traverse and negotiate uneven surfaces.

Ascend and work at heights.

Stooping squatting twisting and kneeling.
