1EM6506 Senior/Expert Firmware Engineer
As a firmware engineer you will be responsible forthe engineering validation and refinement of full-scope test bench setupsincluding mechanical electrical and software with emphasis on communicationrest-bus simulation reprogramming workflows HW error injection anddiagnostics
Task and Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze customer requirements for testbench design functionality and performance.
- Design and implement end-to-end automotive testbenches covering mechanical electrical and software domains.
- Develop and integrate hardware components (powersupply systems load boxes switch boards harnesses sensors actuators).
- Configure and implement Vector tools (CANoe CAPL VTSystem VX hardware CANape CANalyzer) for rest bus simulation automationand diagnostics.
- Develop software frameworks and automation scripts tosupport ECU testing (including communication diagnostics and faultinjection).
- Collaborate with system engineers and developers toalign test bench design with vehicle and ECU architecture.
- Maintain and continuously improve the test bench basedon feedback evolving requirements and new technologies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelors or mastersdegree in electrical engineering Computer Science or related field.
- 35 years of experience asa firmware engineer working on test benches development.
- Familiarity with agiledevelopment tools (Jira Jama)
- Strong electrical fundamentals with the ability toread hardware schematics and work with the hardware team to deliverhardware/software co-designed architecture
- Strong experience in using RBS (Rest Bus Simulation)preferably using CANoe
Preferred skills:
- Good background about Communication protocols (CANCAN-FD Ethernet SOME/IP LIN) along with time synchronization andcommunication error handling.
- Good background in ECU Diagnostics (UDS ISO 14229)Reprogramming and memory management.
- Experience in RADAR features is a plus (RadarServices Radome heating System states Ego motion)
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Very Good English is aplus.
