The Department of Languages Literatures and Cultures at the University of Florida () College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for the position of Lecturer/Assistant Instructional Professor in Russian Language and Culture to begin August 15 2026. This is a full-time renewable nine-month non-tenure accruing position.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a robust program in Foreign Languages and Literatures by performing the following duties: 1) teach three (3) undergraduate language classes per semester at the beginning and intermediate levels (other language levels if necessary); 2) contribute to the development and growth of the Russian Studies program including through language-related extracurricular activities study abroad and potential online course development; and 3) provide service to the Russian Studies program the department and the university.

Required Qualifications:

M.A. degree in Russian Russian Language Pedagogy Russian Linguistics or related field. Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English with experience teaching Russian language at the college/university level.

Preferred:

PhD degree in Russian language and culture or related college/university-level teaching experience.
