Our client a nationally recognised law firm with a leading infrastructure and planning practice is seeking an infrastructure consenting-focused Managing Associate to join their dynamic team. About the Role
As a Managing Associate in the Planning & Infrastructure Consenting team youll work on complex high-impact projects across various sectors and regions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert planning and infrastructure consenting advice across sectors such as:
- Renewable energy
- Transport infrastructure
- Housing developments
- Commercial real estate
- Industrial and logistics
- Public sector projects
- Managing complex infrastructure consenting matters including:
- Development consent orders
- Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs)
- Local and strategic planning applications
- Environmental impact assessments
- Compulsory purchase and land assembly
- Advising clients on strategic planning and consenting strategies
- Drafting and negotiating complex legal documentation
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas
- Contributing to business development efforts
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
- Engaging in continuous professional development

What Were Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with 3-5 years post-qualification experience in planning and infrastructure law
- Strong technical knowledge of planning and infrastructure consenting processes
- Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Keen eye for detail and self-motivated approach
- Enthusiasm for professional growth and development
Desirable:
- Experience across multiple infrastructure and planning sectors
- Knowledge of renewable energy and sustainable development projects
- Understanding of environmental impact assessment processes
- Track record of successful project delivery
- Additional planning or environmental law qualifications
