In collaboration with other providers the orderly assists with the care of patients under the direction of the resource nurse. The role works on a rotating shift schedule.
Accountabilities:
- Maintains monitors and distributes departmental equipment
- Transports patients specimens and supplies as required
Qualifications :
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Graduate of a personal support worker/health care aide program from an accredited institution (or an equivalent program would be considered)
- Current CPR certification required
- Minimum two years recent related patient care experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Requires the ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting on an ongoing basis
- Experience in an emergency department an asset
- Must demonstrate Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration
- Excellent attendance punctuality and work record
- May be required to work and travel between all Osler sites

Currently Days/Nights 8 hours shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
SALARY:
Minimum: $30.10 per hour
Maximum: $30.64 per hour
