About the Role:
Join Alcons Global R&D Strategic Programs Office as a Learning & Engagement Intern where youll contribute to high-impact initiatives that enhance Product Development Productivity across the organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in instructional design change management and strategic communications within a dynamic innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the design and development of engaging effective training content aligned with R&D goals and productivity initiatives.
Assist in the creation of learning materials including eLearning modules facilitator guides job aids and multimedia assets.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex technical concepts into accessible learning experiences.
Contribute to change management efforts by developing communication plans stakeholder engagement strategies and readiness materials.
Help coordinate training logistics including scheduling tracking and reporting.
Participate in team meetings brainstorming sessions and feedback cycles to continuously improve learning solutions.
Coordinate the R&D Intern Poster Session at the conclusion of the internship period managing all aspects of event planning including logistics internal communications and promotional materials
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
Must be pursuing at least a bachelors level degree in
Instructional Design Learning & Development Organizational Psychology Communications or a related field
Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)
Ability to commit to a full time (40 hrs. per week) Intern position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Instructional Design Learning & Development Organizational Psychology Communications or a related field.
Strong interest in learning strategy adult learning principles and digital content creation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented creative and proactive with a collaborative mindset.
Familiarity with tools such as Articulate 360 Adobe Creative Suite or similar is a plus.
Exposure to or interest in R&D environments product development or life sciences is a bonus.
