We are seeking an Employment Consultant -IPS Mental Health Specialist to join our team providing evidence-based employment support for people living with mental health challenges. This is a unique opportunity to combine vocational support with a strong focus on mental health recovery.
As an Employment Consultant (IPS Mental Health Specialist) you will:
Work closely with participants to help them prepare for secure and maintain employment.
Deliver all phases of employment support including intake assessment job placement coaching and post-placement follow-along support.
Co-locate with mental health services participating in clinical review meetings to align vocational and therapeutic goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to create inclusive job opportunities.
Provide accurate information to participants about disclosure workplace adjustments and employment pathways.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people through recovery and employment. To succeed in this role you will bring:
A strong understanding of the issues faced by people with mental health conditions seeking work.
Excellent communication organisation and time management skills.
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology Mental Health or a related field (or relevant industry experience).
The ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable:
Qualifications in Disability or Employment Services.
Mental Health First Aid training.
Experience in employment services or related community services roles.
