Job Title: RN Emergency Room
Location: Cobleskill NY 12043
Duration: 3 month contract (with potential extension)
Shift: Nights 3x12 hours
Pay Rate: $62/hour local $2541.96 weekly travel (W2 36 hours)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and efficient care to patients in a dynamic hospital emergency setting. The ER nurse will work closely with physicians and healthcare teams to treat patients with urgent acute and complex medical conditions.

Unit Details:

Beds: 10-bed Emergency Department plus triage room (can be used as patient room)
Daily Census: 2535 patients
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Common Cases: Chest pain respiratory issues stroke DKA COPD elderly care pediatrics psychiatric emergencies orthopedic injuries lacerations miscarriage DVT STEMI rabies exposure

Responsibilities:

Triage and assess patients presenting with emergency needs.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for patient care.
Provide patient and family education and support.
Document patient assessments interventions and outcomes accurately.

Requirements:

Active RN license (New York State or compact accepted).
Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience.
Current BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred).
Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
