Job Description
Auto Mechanic
This person will possess a strong skilled foundation in automotive repair and diagnostics with the flexibility to work on a variety of equipment and handle changing assignments. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise computer proficiency and a commitment to safety and reliability.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced repairs on vehicles including:
- Brake systems
- Air conditioning (AC) units
- Front-end components
- Engine and transmission diagnostics and repairs
- Conduct body work and exhaust repairs (preferred but not required)
- Service and repair other types of equipment as needed
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate records through data entry and logs
- Operate within the Mitchell work order system
- Comply with safety council requirements and pass drug testing
- Work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions
- Accept fluid assignments and adapt to changing work priorities
- Participating in overtime as required
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications/ Licenses: Drivers License & TWIC Card
Experience: Hands-on Automotive Experience in motor and transmission work
General computer knowledge and comfort with digital systems
Diagnostic Skills Experience using diagnostic tools and interpreting results in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Equipment Versatility Comfortable servicing various types of equipment beyond standard vehicles.
Software Proficiency Experience with Mitchell work order system or similar automotive service platforms.
