Job Summary
What Youll Be Doing
- Lead a cross-functional team of Back-End and Front-End developers and QA engineers ensuring the scalability performance and reliability of our internal usability tools.
- Own and continuously improve the teams development and on-duty processes maintaining balance between delivery speed and production stability.
- Design and implement robust back-end solutions using Java and Spring Boot integrating with APIs databases and external data systems (e.g. SingleStore PostgreSQL).
- Collaborate with Product Owners and UX Designers to build end-to-end product features that empower marketing operations and studio users.
- Ensure production reliability monitor system SLIs/SLOs handle incidents effectively and drive root cause analysis for long-term stability.
- Mentor and develop engineers driving excellence in code quality architecture and design.
- Contribute to technical strategy evaluate architectural options plan refactors and reduce technical debt.
- Drive continuous improvement in CI/CD pipelines observability and automation practices.
Your Experience & Skills
- 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- 2 years of experience in a Team Lead or Tech Lead role managing mixed teams (FE/BE/QA).
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java Spring Boot REST APIs and microservice architecture.
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL SingleStore or similar) including schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka RabbitMQ) and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins TeamCity) and observability platforms (Grafana Kibana Prometheus).
- Good understanding of frontend integration principles (React TypeScript RESTful APIs).
- Proven experience in supporting production systems and participating in on-duty rotations.
- Ability to identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Experience with data pipelines or analytical systems (Vertica Cloudera).
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes).
- Experience with automated testing (JUnit Playwright BDD Jest).

About the Team
Youll be joining the Usability Team within Marketing R&D responsible for developing and maintaining internal tools and services used by marketing and studio teams worldwide.
Our focus is on efficiency reliability and user experience ensuring seamless operations across Playtikas ecosystem.
Youll work closely with product and data teams to improve workflows automate processes and deliver high-performance solutions that scale.
