This role helps to foster self-reliance care for the poor and the needy and provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus furthering the mission of the Church. Under the direction of the immediate supervisor and in compliance with Welfare Services policies and procedures the incumbent is responsible to assist in general labor activities to meet the assigned production plan and maintain a safe and sanitary facility. The incumbents duties may include: preparing and assisting with packaging lines for daily production runs operating a variety of equipment casing and palletizing operating lift-trucks cleaning the facility completing traceability paperwork including inventory prerequisite and standard operating procedures (SOP) blending and mixing products and other duties as assigned.
60% Operating production lines including equipment and product set-up.
25% Maintain safety and sanitation standards of the facility FDA regulation compliance.
15% Monitor the quality of the products packaging and codes/labels.
10% Warehouse receiving and shipping operations including staging ingredients.
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Four years production experience.
Must be capable to complete lift-truck certifications.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be capable of climbing stairs/ladders lifting up to 50 lbs standing for extended periods bending over stooping work in hot or cold and/or dusty or dirty environments.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred
Bachelors degree in business production or similar field.
