Responsibilities
The Clinic Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Ankeny Med Park Family Medicine and Urgent Care Clinics ensuring efficient workflows quality patient care and strong staff support. This role provides frontline leadership for clinical and administrative teams and collaborates with leadership to meet performance and service goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinic Operations & Team Leadership (40%)
Manage day-to-day operations provider schedules and staffing needs.
Lead recruitment onboarding training and performance evaluations for clinical and front-office staff.
Provide operational expertise support clinic workflows and resolve staffing or operational issues.
Ensure compliance with protocols policies and safety standards.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns and escalate as needed.
Patient Care & Communication (30%)
Foster clear communication between providers staff patients and leadership.
Act as liaison to support coordination of care and service excellence.
Lead clinic response during emergencies and ensure safety of staff and patients.
Compliance Finance & Quality Oversight (20%)
Support clinic goals budgeting processes and cost management.
Maintain compliance with CLIA OSHA HIPAA safety and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor environmental safety and secure protected health information.
Support strategic initiatives and department metrics.
Organizational Standards & Expectations (10%)
Demonstrate UnityPoint Healths mission vision and values in all interactions.
Meet attendance training compliance and licensing standards.
Support quality improvement innovation and team-based care.
Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
Licenses/Certifications:
Active RN/LPN/CMA credential.
Valid drivers license if driving for work-related duties.
BLS certification (or ability to obtain).
Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of healthcare operations compliance and patient experience best practices.
