Job Summary
Child Care Assistant Out of School Time2025/2026 School YearHours: 7:00am to 8:30am / 2:00pm to 5:30pmPart-time hours. All shifts TO: Out of School Time Director/Out of School Time CoordinatorJOB GOAL: Work with children in grades K-4 to acquire decision-making skills by providing numerous activities to choose from throughout the day. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Deliver age appropriate instruction and play including outside activities (weather permitting). Adhere to the policies rules and regulations of the Out of School Time Program School Student Handbook Employee Handbook and School Committee the safety of all children in the program and never leave them unattended regardless of maturity to handle unexpected situations and respond in a highly professional effective and flexible accurate and complete records of student attendance working hours the status of supplies and equipment for the program and adhere to the correct use of such the Out of School Time Director of any unusual problems especially when parental/guardian concern was and maintain professional working relationships through effective and timely communication with the program director other program personnel and other building staff members such as principals custodians teachers and food service personnel. Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous the program Director in addressing the ongoing needs of the students and parents/ required meals and/or planned activities as determined by the Director/ serious discipline problems to the program Director/ all staff meetings and training sessions if other relevant duties as assigned by the program Director/Coordinator and/or Superintendent.
