Job Description
Linux Engineer with DevOps expertise who will be responsible and accountable for both Projects and day to day BAU Operations It is must for candidate to be technically strong detail oriented and Self-motivated to learn cross skilled technologies. Someone who can maintain positive attitude during tough times and still passionate to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7 service
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
- Provide L1L2L3 level server support similar to current team
- Manage coordinate and implement software upgrades patches hot fixes on servers
- Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability security efficiency and scalability of the environment
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
- Manage and maintain virtual machines in internal ESX farm as well as in AWS
Skills and experience:
- Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for 8 years
- Previous working experience with external cloud technologies (AWS Azure etc.)
- Previous working experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes etc. deployed in internal infra.
- IN depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat both physical and virtual environment
- Hands on experience with physical/VM server deployments and commissioning
- Experience / knowledge on various HPE or other server hardware and architecture
- Expert in automation using Ansible or any other tools
- Capable of Automation using scripting language such as Shell Perl and/or Python scripting
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- MS Windows OS knowledge will be added advantage
- Good to have knowledge on Veritas cluster and Veritas Storage Foundation
- Good to have worked on / knowledge of tools such as BigFix OneView ITRS Service Now SCOM CyberArk
