As a Night Shift Shop Foreman youll play a crucial role in optimizing our shop operations by maintaining workflow and efficiently distributing work among technicians. Working closely with the Operations Manager this position oversees the quality of work on customer-owned inventory ensures shop efficiency and upholds our high standards for safety and organization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations:Collaborate with the Operations Manager to set goals and distribute work orders to technicians.
- Ensure quality:Audit completed work and verify adherence to company standards.
- Manage technician workloads:Optimize workflow and provide support to ensure the team is efficient and effective.
- Provide guidance:Offer guidance on processes policies and expectations to team members.
- Conduct safety meetings:Lead weekly safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage inventory:Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions in our CRM and ERP systems.
- Support customer and sales teams:Address customer-related issues and provide assistance with work orders part numbers and deliveries.
- Foster a positive work environment:Promote teamwork collaboration and a commitment to safety and quality.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment required
- Previous night shift experience required
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead coach and mentor within a team environment.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and internet functions.
- Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years and no DWI/DUI in the past 5 years).
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime weekends and holidays as required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this position the employee will be required to stand and walk for significant portions of the shift
- Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. walk climb reach kneel crawl and balance
- Work for up to 10 hours in elements such as hot/cold warehouse/shop environment
- Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage
- Exposure to noise and warehouse elements
- Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) safety-toed shoes safety apparel eye protection (glasses goggles and/or facemask) as necessary for task
