Job Description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Clean parts IAW TT-C-490
  • Maintain coating weights IAW MIL-DTL-16232 and work instructions
  • Cycle maintain reset timers for baths and bakes
  • Uses cleans and maintains paint equipment and tools
  • Troubleshoots coating issues
  • Touch up and rework of paint and phosphate
  • Maintains chemical stock levels
  • Operate crane and forklift as required
  • Documents certifies and serializes assemblies
  • Maintains quality within the routed cycle time
  • E2 documentation daily time reporting
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned
  • Assemble components per print for weld
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent or 6 months experience in a similar position
  • The ability to read and understand prints routers and quality plans and to communicate the information contained
  • Zinc Phosphate coating training
  • Paint equipment training
  • Fit test required
  • Detail oriented
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier.
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
  1. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
  2. Follow Company safety rules.
  3. Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
PERSONAL PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS:
Use or wear the equipment protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or worn:
  • Safety shoes
  • Safety glasses or goggles as required
  • Face shields
  • Company provided mask as required
  • Chemical resistant gloves
  • Other types of PPE as needed
