Financial Services Representative

Financial Services Representatives provide members complete serviceswhile cross-selling additional credit union products and services. They are responsible for account information opening new accounts handling consumerloan requests and professionally handling members needs.

This position is full time: 38-40 hours per week. . Shifts will vary between the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm Monday - Friday.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

• Serve as a back up to the Member Service Representative role.
• Assisting members with opening and closing accounts includingIRAs Trusts Business Estate and Deceased.
• Completes domestic and foreign wire transactions requests in atimely manner
• Research reconcile and answers questions for account concernsand questions
• Resolve problems that are within their authority toresolve. Anything beyond their authority refer to their supervisor alongwith recommendations.
• Interview members to gather information concerning their loanneeds earnings and financial condition.
• Explain loan options and make recommendations to themember.
• Take loan application.
• Analyze current financial position of member to determine thedegree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
• Establish the terms and conditions of loan and review withmember.
• Prepare and/or review all loan documents for completeness andaccuracy.
• Review credit report to look for opportunities to put member ina better financial position.
• Complete any necessary file maintenance on loan file.
• Cross sells appropriate credit union products and services.
• Assist members with proper completion of payroll deduction ACHdirect deposit forms and NADA quotes.
• Serve as a Notary Public and maintain an NMLS number.
• Perform other related duties as assigned; including but notlimited to financial transactions balancing a cash drawer and checks.
• Processes check orders and Instant Issue debit cards.
• Assist members with travel notes completion of forms fordisputed and fraudulent transactions.
• Answers phones and responds to members requests problems andcomplaints in a courteous and professional manner.
• Completes mandatory forms such as CTRs.
• Reports suspicious member activity to manager for completion ofSARs.

Knowledge andSkills:

• Experience: Minimum of 24 months of similar orrelated experience
• Education:High school education diploma or GED equivalent minimum. Somecollege preferred
• Interpersonal Skills:Mustpossess interpersonal skills not limited to diplomacy courtesy and tact forverbal and written discussions that involved giving information to members orother departments
