The Role: Housekeeping Lead Alfond Center for Health Days with w/e & holiday rotation
MaineGeneral is currently looking for a leader to oversee a dynamic and hard-working team of housekeeping technicians ensuring that our medical centers are patient ready around the clock!
The Lead Technician supports their housekeeping staff to help maintain a clean sanitary environment for our patients and visitors. They also mentor staff and participate in assist in daily operations of the department. This position includes every other holiday rotation.
The Work:
Assists with the development implementation and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
Provides mentoring monitoring coaching and evaluation of team members performance especially in the areas of productivity and quality management.
Serves as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote teamwork and cooperation.
Assists with coordinating services prioritizing assignments and workflow and promoting situational decision making/problem solving.
Performs responsibilities of underlying job.
Takes responsibility for or provides guidance to team members on the handling of complex or novel issues.
You Have:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred
2 years or more experience in Environmental Services with at least one year experience in a leadership position preferred.
