Truck/Trailer Mechanic & CDL- Class A Driver

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanic with a CDL- Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. This is for our Bakersfield CA location!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (occasional Saturdays for optional overtime)
Pay Range: $27.00 to $41.00 per hour dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- Must have a CDL-Class A license with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
- TIG aluminum stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183 hazmat)
Physical Demands:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
