Job Description
Excavator Operator (Demolition)
Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Hoe Operator to work concrete demolition scopes in Edmonton and area. We offer competitive wages work / life balance great opportunity for advancement potential for winter work and company matching RRSP program.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Demolition of concrete and other structures with concrete breakers on a hoe
- Moving demoed materials with a skid steer
- Clean up of demo areas with skid steer
- Work in relatively congested areas
- Operate equipment in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment
- Ensure work is always done safely to the highest quality standard while maintaining strong production
- Promote execute and adhere to the companys safety program
- Daily equipment inspections and maintenance
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
Required Skills:
- 2 years of excavator experience
- 2 years of skid steer experience
- Demolition experience with both excavator and skid steer is required
- Exceptionally safety conscious
- Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent / foreman
- Ability to operate other equipment is an asset
- Strong communication skills
Required Certifications:
- WHMIS 2015 (required)
