Responsibilities
- Teach a challenging and ambitious English curriculum across all key stages with a focus on advanced literary and language study at A-Level.
- Demonstrate a passion for learning and apply a range of engaging teaching skills and behaviour management strategies tailored to highly motivated students.
- Contribute to the departments outstanding record of results (e.g. 67% A* - B at A-Level; 79% 9-7 in English Language GCSE) supporting all pupils to excel.
- Work collaboratively within a friendly talented and supportive teaching team.
- Support the schools commitment to the vibrant extra-curricular life potentially contributing to debating drama or literary societies.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree specialism in English.
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective teaching throughout the age range including A-Level.
- The ability to inspire young people and help them to excel as citizens in a warm community that celebrates difference.
