Job Summary

JOB TITLE: Solder Technician - 1st Shift
LOCATION: Clearwater FL
PAY RATE: $28-30/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Shift: Monday Thursday 5:00 AM 3:30 PM OT on weekends

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Use a microscope to verify part placement and orientation; manually align parts before soldering and perform post-reflow inspection and touch-up.
Identify and repair solder defects including poor wetted joints solder voids bridges misaligned parts tombstoned or billboarded components.
Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment and distinguish real issues from false calls.
Read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
Work in a fast-paced environment with occasional overtime; maintain focus for long periods.
Use rework equipment such as hot air pencils hot plates and BGA removal tools (ERSA or other OEM).
Inspect boards under X-ray to identify defects on bottom-terminated components.
Solder and tack jumper wires on redesign boards as needed.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
IPC-610 (expired or active)
IPC J-STD-001 (expired or active)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
