Job Summary

Job Title: CT Technologist
Specialty: Computed Tomography
Site: VA San Diego Healthcare System
Location: 3350 La Jolla Village Dr San Diego CA 92161
Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of 4 years extension

Shift Schedule:

Monday Sunday coverage Midnight Midnight (24/7 coverage window)

40 hours/week

May include weekends/holidays

On-call with 30-minute report time as assigned

License /Certifications:

Advanced ARRT certification in CT (required)
State of California license (required)
IV certification (required)
BLS

Minimum Qualification/ Experience:

Minimum 2 years full-time recent experience (within last 3 years 2080 hrs/yr);
Demonstrated experience starting IVs and performing contrast injections
PACS experience

Responsibilities:

Operate dual-energy CT
Perform CT of head/neck/spine/chest/extremities/vascular system/whole body
Receive/prepare patients
Select technical factors
Set up suites and ensure sterile supplies/contrast readiness
Image post-processing and PACS
Documentation in VistA/CPRS
Assist with contrast administration per protocol
Adhere to VA/JCAHO standards
Wear self-provided scrubs.
