AWS Solution Architect Toronto Canada (Hybrid/Remote Options)
Role Overview
We are hiring an AWS Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of cloud-native solutions for one of our premier consulting clients. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and consulting skills with the ability to engage business stakeholders and translate requirements into scalable AWS architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own end-to-end AWS cloud architecture across data applications and integration layers.
- Design solutions leveraging AWS core services (EC2 ECS/EKS Lambda API Gateway S3 RDS DynamoDB).
- Architect and oversee data pipelines analytics platforms and real-time streaming systems.
- Provide technical leadership on cloud migration modernization and optimization initiatives.
- Establish cloud security compliance and governance frameworks.
- Guide development teams on DevOps CI/CD containerization and automation practices.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of IT experience with at least 3 years as a Cloud/Solution Architect.
- Strong AWS expertise with certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional/Associate).
- Proven experience in designing enterprise-scale AWS solutions.
- Hands-on knowledge of containers and microservices (ECS EKS Docker Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of networking IAM VPC and security best practices.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform CloudFormation CDK).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with data engineering/analytics (Redshift Glue Kinesis EMR).
- Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
- Consulting background with experience in stakeholder engagement and solution framing.
