Job Description
We are seeking a skilled SRE DevOps Engineer to drive our infrastructure modernization initiatives by migrating from on-premises to AWS cloud-native architecture. This role will be pivotal in ensuring a seamless transition of Artifactory instances and repositories enhancing scalability reliability and performance while maintaining zero downtime for active CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from on-premises infrastructure to AWS focusing on migration of Artifactory instances and repositories.
- Execute phased migrations to ensure continuous availability and zero downtime for CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for efficient provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Utilize configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet Chef) to automate setup ensure system consistency and support ongoing maintenance and recovery.
- Integrate Artifactory with AWS security services following best practices for identity management access control and data protection.
- Support daily Artifactory operations including troubleshooting upgrades and incident response.
- Collaborate with engineering and SRE teams to deliver reliable and high-performance solutions.
- Evaluate and implement additional migration and modernization roadmap initiatives.
- Work on CI/CD pipeline automation and configuration management to streamline development and deployment workflows.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including operational runbooks and process guides.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in both on-premises data center infrastructure (networking storage virtualization) and AWS cloud services (EC2 S3 VPC IAM Route 53).
- Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI) and automating system reliability and uptime.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible Puppet or Chef.
- Fundamental programming and scripting skills in Python Go or Bash for automation and custom tooling.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
