The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean organized and welcoming environment in the rectory and parish offices. This position offers flexible hours and involves routine cleaning tasks to support the comfort and well-being of clergy and staff.
Perform general cleaning duties including dusting vacuuming sweeping and mopping all floors.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchens regularly.
Maintain tidiness and organization of all living and common areas within the rectory and parish office.
Dispose of trash and recycling appropriately.
Monitor cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
Ensure a welcoming clean and comfortable environment for clergy and staff.
Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Follow appropriate cleaning and sanitation procedures especially in shared spaces.
Prior experience in housekeeping janitorial work or a similar role preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Trustworthy reliable and respectful of privacy.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting bending and standing for extended periods.
Familiarity with cleaning products and safe usage practices.
