The Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitting team ensuring accurate and timely assembly of kits for production or shipment. This role acts as a bridge between warehouse inventory and production teams driving efficiency quality and team performance.

What you will be responsible for:

• Supervise and coordinate kitting associates to meet production schedules and quality standards
• Review work orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure correct components are picked and assembled
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to procurement or inventory control
• Train team members on kitting procedures safety protocols and quality standards
• Maintain accurate documentation of kitting activities and ensure compliance with company policies
• Collaborate with production logistics and supply chain teams to align kitting operations with broader goals
• Identify process improvements and implement lean practices to reduce waste and increase efficiency
• Conduct regular audits to ensure kit accuracy and completeness
• Use ERP or warehouse management systems to track and manage kitting workflows
• All other duties assigned.

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge skills and abilities)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams BOMs and instructions
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
• Team oriented with excellent communication skills
• Must be able to maintain a safe working environment
• Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems as they arise

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two to four years of experience in kitting inventory or warehouse operations
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
