The Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager Corporate Services will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for the Corporate Services category within indirect Strategic Sourcing Organization. This role is responsible for identifying value-creating opportunities managing sourcing events and driving cost quality and service excellence across a global portfolio of Services Category is inclusive of Marketing Translations Market Research Paid Media Creative Services & Promo Meeting & Events Packaging Fleet and Travel.

This is a high impact opportunity to play a key role in a business preparing for a strategic transformation. Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager Corporate Services role will report to the Director of Indirect Strategic Sourcing.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronics Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Position Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Lead global sourcing initiatives for Corporate Services categories
  • Analyze spend market trends and supplier performance to identify cost reduction and service improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and execute category strategies that align with business goals and regulatory requirements (FDA ISO 13485).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with business needs.

Supplier Management and Contracting

  • Manage end-to-end sourcing processes including RFPs negotiations vendor evaluation and contract development.
  • Partner with Legal Privacy and Quality to ensure contracts meet regulatory and operational standards.
  • Establish and manage service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supplier performance.
  • Mitigate supplier risks and support the creation of roust continuity and continency plans across regions.

Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership

  • Foster collaborative strategic relationships with key business stakeholders across Marketing IT R&D Finance Legal Quality and Compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and sourcing leader for business partners to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Manage project timelines stakeholder expectations and communication for all Professional Services sourcing initiatives.
  • Track and report on savings value realization and program status to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Finance or related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5 years of managerial experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5 years of managerial experience.

Nice to have

  • 7 years of strategic sourcing procurement or category management in Corporate Services experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and service improvements in a global matrixed environment.
  • Strong Knowledge of contracting vendor negotiations and supplier governance
  • Experience working in highly regulated industry (medical device pharmaceutical or life sciences industries is strongly preferred).Strong knowledge of contract negotiation supplier performance management and regulatory compliance (FDA ISO 13485).
  • Excellent communication stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in sourcing and contract management tools (e.g. Coupa Ariba SAP).MBA or Masters in Engineering Healthcare or Operations
  • Lean Six Sigma PMP or relevant certification a plus
  • Experience with digital sourcing platforms or analytics toolsGlobal sourcing experience is a strong advantage

Travel

Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$138400.00 - $207600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
