Job Summary

As a LeadSoftware Engineeringwould deliver value to customers through implementation technical configurations and providing technical recommendations and solutions to business problems. They shape and improve the experience of key Vertafore clients. They work cross-functionally across Vertafore including Customer Support Account Management Professional Services Product Development and Product Management to help guide the client. You will be hands on involved in designing solutions and flexible services that expose core capabilities to different applications and user bases and leading teams to achieve the vision through active mentoring technical decision-making and facilitating company-wide collaboration. CoreRequirements andResponsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

Lead the architecture design development and deployment of robust enterprise applications using the technology stack and front-end technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts QA DevOps and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Provide technical leadership mentoring and guidance to a team of developers promoting best coding practices and modern software design principles.

Take ownership of software solutions from concept to delivery ensuring quality scalability and maintainability.

Review code troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance in collaboration with other technical leads and team members.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines ensuring automated testing code quality checks and smooth deployment processes.

Engage in architectural discussions and participate in strategic decision-making regarding system improvements and technological innovations.

Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and tools to improve development productivity and product performance.

Oversee the implementation of secure coding practices and compliance with industry standards.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in SOLID Principles Coding Standards Design Principles and Design Patterns.

Deep proficiency in.NET Core MVC and C#.

Advanced experience in developingWeb APIs/REST APIsusing frameworks.

Solid understanding and hands-on experience withEntity Frameworkfor data access.

Proficiency in front-end technologies such asJavaScriptjQuery andReactJS.

Strong understanding of SQL Server including database design optimization indexing and query performance tuning.

Experience working withRabbitMQor similar message brokers for asynchronous processing.

Ability to writeunit testsand integrate testing frameworks into the development lifecycle.

Knowledge ofCI/CD pipelines preferably using GitLab or similar tools.

Familiarity withSSISSSRS andSignalRis a plus.

Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor junior developers.

Excellent problem-solving analytical thinking and debugging skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Have an intense passion for building software and mentoring their teams

Are very strong in both design and implementation at an enterprise level

10 - 13 years of professional experience in software development with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies.

Proven experience in a technical leadership or senior development role.

Hands-on experience delivering scalable high-performance applications in enterprise environments.

Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
