• Permanent full-time role
• Based in Melbourne CBD (Collins Street)
• You will attend full time training in the office (Monday to Friday) for approximately 6 months and then transition to hybrid working where you will work 3 days in the office and can work the remaining days from home
• This role will require full-time training over the Christmas period (not including the standard public holidays)

Whats the role

As a Credit Assessor you will support the mortgage application process for applications received from our Third-Party Broker Network handling both simple and complex cases such as PAYG LMI Construction Guarantor Home Guarantee Scheme and more.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing applications for accuracy and compliance with quality standards
• Assessing creditworthiness and serviceability while adhering to lending regulations
• Referring applications beyond credit guidelines to managers
• Building strong relationships with brokers by providing guidance and maintaining trust
• Ensuring audit compliance and quality standards are met to minimize risk
• Offering advice on application structuring credit policy and documentation.

What do I need

• Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise consult and advise internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Finance/banking background desirable
