Job Purpose

We offer a unique perspective into the world of food manufacturing with a 1012-week paid internship at our Corporate Americas HQ in Northbrook IL. As a key player on the team the Logistics Intern will be exposed to several core competencies within our Logistcs team job function.

This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook IL.


Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and distribute the daily stock flow report to ensure inventory visibility and accuracy.
  • Compile and analyze the weekly import report to monitor inbound logistics performance.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify and evaluate potential carrier partners in California Iowa New York Pennsylvania and Georgia.
  • Monitor and track import shipments on a daily basis to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Perform weekly audits of carrier invoices to validate billing accuracy and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support for the annual transportation Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
  • Assist in managing and reviewing CPU (Cost Per Unit) allowances to ensure alignment with budgetary goals and operational needs.

Desired Skills and Background

  • Completion of junior year of undergraduate studies with a concentration in Finance Supply ChainManagement or Business Administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Prior experience or exposure to Supply Chain or Finance functions is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management and time management capabilities with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks multi-task effectively and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel); advanced Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables are preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
