Job Description
The post-holder will:
- demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice education and support to staff patients their families and carers.
- be practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment examination diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate.
- support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient-focused service and will ensure the safe treatment referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
- have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service including the development of policies procedures protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Essential qualifications and experience:
- Registered nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Masters Degree OR Postgraduate diploma or degree for Advanced Practice Qualification OR RCN accreditation
- Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber
- Meets NMC revalidation requirements
- Meets the standards for registered ANP working at advanced level
- Experience of practice within the four pillars
- Experience of prescribing and undertaking medication reviews
- Experience of working in a primary care environment
Desirable
- Qualified triage nurse
- Experience of working as a practice nurse or community nurse
