The anticipated salary range for this role is between $85000.00and $170000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications experiences and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive addition to cash compensation SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-orientedJunior Full Stack Developerwith13 years of experiencein developing web applications backends. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation inobject-oriented programming a keen interest incloud technologies(especiallyMicrosoft Azure) and a desire to grow within a collaborative Agile development environment.
Role is based out of our Charlotte office on a hybrid segmentation.
Role Objectives
- Assist in the development of web (e.g. Spring Boot) )/TypeScript ().
- Support the design and implementation ofRESTful APIsand contribute tomicroservices-basedarchitectures.
- Write clean maintainable code usingobject-oriented programmingprinciples.
- Build responsive front-end interfaces usingHTML5CSS3JavaScript andTypeScript.
- Contribute to cloud-native solutions usingAzure servicessuch as:
- Azure Functions
- App Services
- API Management (APIM)
- PostgreSQL
- Event Hub(optional but a plus)
- Work withSQLandNoSQLdatabases under guidance.
- Participate inAgiledevelopment activities including stand-ups sprint planning and code reviews.
- Learn and assist withCI/CD pipelinesand container-based deployment usingDockerandKubernetes.
Qualifications and Skills
- 13 yearsof experience in full stack development (internships or academic projects may count).
- Basic to intermediate proficiency andobject-oriented programming.
- Understanding ofRESTful APIsand interest inmicroservices architecture.
- Familiarity withJavaScriptTypeScriptHTML5 andCSS.
- Exposure toAzurecloud services or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with databases ( Server orMongoDB).
- Basic understanding ofAgile methodologiesGit andCI/CDconcepts.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Exposure toAzureDocker orKubernetesis a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to work on both front-end and back-end tasks.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
