Job Summary

Job Summary

The Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for all aspects of troubleshooting repair and maintenance service of a wide range of equipment that is needed to perform all landscape functions.

Production

Troubleshoot equipment accurately and repair breakdowns quickly to maintain operating efficiency.
Proven abilities in a wide range of technical skills in repairing all landscaping and construction equipment with 2-cylce engines and 4-cycle engines and other small engines including but not limited to: Mowers Blowers Weed Eaters Tractors Skid Steers
Perform oil changes air filter changes belt replacements and inspect all safety devices of equipment.
Perform off site repairs
Pick up of parts from vendors
Assist in maintaining service records for all equipment
Maintain and organize parts as needed
Assure that all parts go through company inventory.
Maintain Shop area yard and building
Communicates with managers internally as needed in order to insure crews have proper equipment to perform task.
Insure OSHA and other regulations are followed for all equipment
Assist Company in seasonal services provided to customers.

Required Skills

Must have a high school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in related field.
Must have a valid NC Drivers license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
Must submit to a reference and criminal background check.
Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
Must comply with Bland Landscaping Company Inc. policies and procedures
Must practice safety with chemicals and all equipment
Must wear company provided uniforms and use personal protective equipment as needed
Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check
