Job Summary

Qualifications:

Possess or be eligible for a valid Michigan teaching certificate
Minimum requirement of Bachelor degree with a major/minor in ELA with BX endorsement
Meet highly qualified requirements for ELA
Able to assess and document student progress
Professional in personal conduct and actions
Excellent communication skills

Duties:

Excellent communication and organizational skills required
Working knowledge of ELA Common Core Standards
Ability to link instruction and assessments to Common Core Standards
Ability to use formative assessments to inform instruction
Create deliver and grade assessments/assignments as needed
Ability to utilize effective instructional strategies
Ability to differentiate instruction
Must be able to effectively integrate technology into the curriculum
Knowledge of Pyramid Response to Intervention techniques for intervention and progress monitoring a plus
Perform other duties as assigned.
