The laborer position will be responsible for maintenance of roads and grounds including manual excavation; grass mowing and trimming using both mechanical andpowered tools; landscaping activities and housekeeping duties; snow removal; furniture moving; loading unloading andmoving of materials; waste handling and disposal activities; masonry support; cleanup of portions of building interiors andexteriors; demolition of structures; and support for other crafts.
Some work assignments require use of specializedpersonalprotectiveequipment training or certification. Other work assignments involve operation of both stationary and portablepowered motorized or manual tools equipment or machinery. Conforms to Company safety security and other pertinent regulations.
Requires experience in industrial or construction work or work experience of a manual nature requiring good physical condition.
In addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A ( School diploma; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative).
For the Facilities and Sustainability organization must include one of the following:
Waste disposal activities including packaging and handling
Hazwoper and Spill Response activities
Fork lift operations
For the Utilities organization must include one of the following:
Utilities support work such as performing line and grade techniques associated with drainage piping or route clearance
For the Roads and Grounds organization must include one of the following:
Arduous type work such as landscaping furniture or material moving
Must be capable of reading written instructions
Must satisfactorily complete all training requirements
May participate in the Beryllium Program; medical requirements apply
Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
