Job Description :

Were looking for a BI Manager Operational Reporting and Analytics to manage and mentor a team of talented analysts. Your team is embedded within our operational squads and is responsible for delivering critical insights that drive efficiency and improve customer this role you will be a key player in our agile environment ensuring your team has the skills and support needed to succeed.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead mentor and coach a team of analysts fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

  • Conduct one-on-one meetings and performance reviews providing constructive feedback and creating development plans.

  • Identify skill gaps and organize training sessions to upskill the team in areas like Tableau Google BigQuery SQL and data storytelling.

  • Manage analyst assignments to different squads ensuring balanced workloads and alignment with business priorities.

Operational Analytics and Strategy:

  • Work closely with operational leaders (e.g. customer service network operations) to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable analytics projects.

  • Define best practices and standards for reporting dashboard creation and data visualization.

  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality accurate and timely insights that support operational decision-making and performance monitoring.

  • Promote the adoption of new analytics tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and insight delivery.

Agile Collaboration and Delivery:

  • Serve as the bridge between your team and the product owners scrum masters and other stakeholders in the operational squads.

  • Ensure the teams work aligns with the squads goals and the broader BI and analytics roadmap.

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across different squads and with other analytics chapters.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 8 years of experience in business intelligence data analytics or a related field preferably in the telecommunications industry.

  • 2 years of experience managing leading or mentoring a team of data analysts.

  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.


Technical Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency with Tableau and Google BigQuery

  • Strong SQL skills are a must.


Soft Skills:

  • Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.

  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear compelling stories and actionable insights.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.


Working Conditions
Contract type: Full-time (35 hours/week) for MontrealQC or 375 hours/week) for BurlingtonON
Location: Hybrid (1-2 days/week)
