Job Description

Ford is investing billions to build a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. Ford has selected to partner with SK Innovation for their battery expertise.
The BlueOval SK Area Managers will lead the planning and development of their respective areas within the Battery site in Glendale KY with the facilitys Production System. Each Area Manager will be assigned a Key Unifying Process (KUP) and be responsible for becoming the site subject matter expert working with the other Area Managers and implementing that System or KUP across the plant. The Area Managers will champion the implementation of strategies to indoctrinate the culture required to achieve the plants Vision Mission and Values and deliver objectives for their respective areas via truly empowered and supported teams. Responsible for leading change efforts within the plant to meet BOSK manufacturing standards. They support employees by removing barriers to their success and developing their knowledge skills and abilities.
Responsibilities
What Youll Do
This role will be responsible for leading a team of hourly and salaried employees at the facility including but not limited to:
- Accountable for area planning and implementation of the respective area
- Implement the plant production operating systems and processes to BOSK manufacturing standards
- Business results
- Remove internal barriers by getting resources and aligning objectives and systems
- Lead transformation and change management efforts
- Develop organizational capability through coaching and development at all levels of the organization. Ensure employees receive the necessary training coaching and experiences to raise their performance level and advance the organization
Qualifications
Youll Have
Minimum Qualifications and Key Experiences
- Education: Bachelors degree
- Five (5) years of operations experience in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications and Key Experiences
- Masters degree
- Ten (10) years of operations experience in a leadership role
- Manufacturing experience including automotive (assembly a plus)
- Six Sigma Blackbelt
- Background in Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with Greenfield / Startup Sites
This individual will have experience managing high degrees of complexity in processes and communication with all levels of leadership. They will rely on their project management skills and strong business acumen to help deliver business requirements.
A collaborative leadership style is essential for influencing and building meaningful relationships with all cross-functional teams.
Additional Information
Travel is expected along with future relocation to Kentucky
The successful candidate will be a Ford Secondee to the joint venture. A secondee is an employee who is temporarily transferred to the joint venture while continuing their employment with Ford.
