Job Description

Group Treasury (GT) facilitates INGs business development by ensuring that INGs capital funding and liquidity positions are adequate at all times commensurate with INGs consolidated businesses and their plans both in a going concern situation as well as in stressed situations. To support this ambition GT is running with a large and complex change portfolio orchestrated by a dedicated Change & Transformation team based in Amsterdam. The Change lead US Spark is part of this team and is responsible for the E2E delivery of Group Treasury owned milestones in the US Spark program. A challenging role in the heart of a high priority change program key to ING Wholesale Bankings ambitions in the US.

The team

The GT Change & Transformation teams mission is to maximize the value derived from INGs change portfolio for GT globally. How By orchestrating the GT change portfolio in the most optimal way. And this is not an easy task considering scarce delivery capacity fast evolving bank-wide demand for change and ever competing priorities.

The Change lead US Spark hierarchically reports to the GT Change & Transformation team lead and functionally to overall GT Change Lead for US Spark. The Group Treasury Change & Transformation team consists of senior change professionals and is based in GTs headquarters in Amsterdam. The team lead reports directly to the Group Treasury Head of Control Change & Transformation safeguarding close access to GTs strategic priorities and change demand that may be derived from these. The Change lead US Spark joins the overall US Spark program management ceremonies and acts as the liaison between the overall US Spark program and the Group Treasury organization.

Roles and responsibilities
As the Change lead US Spark you work closely together with the overall GT Change Lead for US Spark to secure the E2E projects deliverables in line with the planning. You do this by:

  • Driving solution designs that are supported by all stakeholders.

  • Creating realistic change roadmaps to implement these solutions within the agreed timelines

  • Handshaking the delivery of this roadmap with all required delivery teams.

  • Driving the execution of this change roadmap from initiation to development to user acceptance testing and Go live.

As Change lead you are responsible for frequent and transparent status updates to project governance bodies and senior stakeholders. You take the lead in setting up and maintaining effective project meeting structures that considers the cross-border nature of the project with delivery teams located in multiple time zones.

Achieving success may require you to go beyond your mandate and help others. Yet you are a strong promotor of accountability of the delivery teams through the entire lifetime of the project. You timely signal potential issues are quick in assessing potential impact display creativity in working around those but always strive for full transparency on project risks to our stakeholders.

Proven track record and technical skills:

  • Masters degree.

  • 5 years proven track record in driving E2E complex change projects

  • A personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an Agile environment.

  • Experience / affinity with Wholesale Banking PSS Tribes / Product Area(s) and COO Finance and Risk is a must.

  • Affinity with IT is a must.

  • Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams (BusDevOps).

  • Proven experience in strategic projects with high impact.

  • Excellent level of English.
