Responsibilities

The Manager Womens Cancer will lead Jhpiegos womens cancer activities in the Philippines. This position will play a critical role in supporting the DOH with increasing access to screening diagnosis and treatment of womens cancer particularly cervical and breast cancer in the Philippines. The Manager Womens Cancer will be responsible for strategy development stakeholder engagement program design and execution and fundraising to advance Jhpiegos agenda for womens cancer. Key responsibilities include:

  • For key commodities to enable screening diagnosis and treatment identify barriers to access conduct root cause analyses and design and execute appropriate interventions to address them.
  • Establish key connections and relationships with stakeholders across different technical areas public and private to help drive growth and partnerships.
  • Bringing together subject matter experts and policy stakeholders using latest evidence and market trends.
  • Expand partnerships to help drive growth in different technical areas and services.
  • Support the DOH to collaborate with TB HIV and Hepatitis Programs to develop procurement strategy to leverage combined testing volumes across multiple molecular assays.
  • Support the DOH and LGAs to strengthen procurement practice to achieve price reductions on HPV testing
  • Provide technical inputs into concept notes presentations reports for different audiences
  • Execute other responsibilities as needed by the team

Required Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business Economics Public Health or other related disciplines
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in public health management consulting or product commercialization
  • Superior communication and writing skills with demonstrated excellence in technical writing
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders including governments multilaterals NGOs and manufacturers / suppliers.
  • Ability to navigate complex governmental private and organizational processes and favorably influence decision-making in a professional and collaborative manner
  • Familiarity with government budgeting and procurement processes in the Asia Pacific Region including the Philippines
  • strategic entrepreneurial and growth mindset with ability to connect the health systems level with operational realities.
  • Experience and familiarity with global health desired
  • Advanced problem solving analytical and quantitative skills
  • High level of experience and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and presenting findings and recommendations
  • Ability to work in a fast moving multi-tasking environment while leading and mentoring staff toward ambitious targets
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
