This is a full-time exempt year-round position with standard office hours of Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. This role is onsite at our Madison Wisconsin Truax Campus (currently two days in person three days remote with possibility of full remote after the evaluation period) subject to change per college policy. Relocation assistance is not available.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides technical expertise and support for networked servers to ensure reliable and standardized technology operations across the district.
Monitors systems and application health across environments responding to alerts troubleshooting issues and conducting root cause analysis to enhance system stability and prevent recurrence.
Researches and reports changes in server and storage infrastructure collaboration and communications technologies to support strategic planning and disaster recovery efforts.
Develops and implements best practices for deploying patching and upgrading districtwide systems to enhance security and operational efficiency.
Troubleshoots server hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
Creates and maintains documentation for server storage and related application environments to support consistency and accessibility.
Manages and supports small to medium-sized third-party applications to enhance functionality and improve stakeholder workflows.
Serves as a technical resource on projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful application deployment and alignment with business needs.
Engages with vendors and escalates technical issues to external support providers to resolve complex system challenges and maintain service continuity.
Contributes to an inclusive equitable and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued respected and empowered to reach their full potential.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of server and storage infrastructure including industry best practices for deployment maintenance and disaster recovery.
Knowledge of networking protocols server operating systems and virtualization technologies.
Skill in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
Skill in managing third-party applications including implementation development and upgrades.
Skill in documenting system configurations procedures and technical workflows.
Ability to manage multiple processes meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment.
Skill in effectively and respectfully communicating with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree (or equivalent work experience or certifications)
0-2 years of relevant professional experience
